Heavens Cafe? (39:11) The Tributary Music Label/
The theater aspect is something that always has been very tied to progressive rock. Heavens Cafe, this work of the guitarist and American composer John Miner, goes a step further with this " Rock Opera " arriving to us in this format. This term often used lightly and only with the objective of marketing. It is not the case here. The work of Miner fulfills the basic requirements considering it's conceptual history, diverse personalities that interact throughout the work and other historical elements that pose inseparable to the format of classic opera. Obviously, the visual section is to us stripped, but those that have seen it speak to us of a great perfomance of rock, with dancers, actors, musicians..., all of them members of the Art Rock Circus. Without the visual component, we have left a work of songs of progressive rock very fresh and vital, helping us to imagine the gestures of the singers and actors. Very interesting.
